How Important it is to keep checking your building maintenance unit system for safety purposes?

Due to the significant rise in the development of high-rise buildings in the 21st century, cleaning and maintenance of the facades is becoming even more and more challenging. There are several unusually shaped buildings in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Pakistan, United States of America, Germany, United Kingdom etc. has become really challenging for the facilities teams.

These Buildings may look aesthetically pleasing, but when external access is required to carry out cleaning and maintenance works, it needs to be done with keeping safety as the priority. Building Maintenance Unit is considered as one of the safest and most efficient ways for doing this on these kinds of unusually designed and tall buildings. Failure in using this kind of safe access equipment can result in serious consequences.

For instance, in December 2016, a roofing company and two of its Directors were sentenced after working unsafely at height. The company and its Directors chose to rush the job without scaffolding to submit their invoices earlier. Luckily, no one was hurt but this is a prime example of workers taking unnecessary and unsafe risks.

Using a specialist Building Maintenance Unit (BMU), incorporating Cradles and Gantries can eliminate the dangers and restrictions of working on high rise and unusually designed buildings. These units are the safest, reliable, most cost effective and worthwhile methods to access and work on high rise buildings and structures. Uses of BMU include window cleaning of the buildings, cladding, painting, fabric works and building fabric surveys and inspections.

Here at Sea Star Engineering LLC., BMU’s are safely used and kept in a condition to provide workers with sufficient protection so that workers can give their best without stressing about their safety.
